The induction training for the newly appointed officers to Sri Lanka Administrative Service, Sri Lanka Planning Service and Sri Lanka Accountants’ Service commenced…
The induction training programs for the officers, who were selected from the open competitive examinations held in year 2024, to be appointed to Sri Lanka Administrative Service, Sri Lanka Planning Service and Sri Lanka Accountants’ Service, has commenced on the 01st of July 2025 at Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration.
From the relevant competitive examinations, 155 officers were selected for Sri Lanka Administrative Service, 105 officers for Planning Service and 121 officers for Accountants’ Service. Newly appointed officers in the Planning Service and Accountants’ Service will receive a training of 6 months and the newly appointed officers in the Sri Lanka Administrative Service will receive a training of one year. This training is aimed at developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes required for properly implementing government policies and achieving objectives of the government. This training consists of theoretical knowledge required for public service and practices for effective delivery of service to the general public.
This training programme commenced with the participation of Mr. S. Aloka Bandara, Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government as the chief guest, Mr. Prasanna Ginige, District Secretary of Colombo, Mr. A.V. Janadara, Director General of Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration including many officials.
